We are delighted to have launched a mid week level 4 Holistic Massage Diploma.
This is a smaller cohort than our usual weekend course, and we are really keen that those students still get to feel they are part of a ‘group’. In order to expand the numbers in the room and in the experience we are recruiting a couple of volunteers from our alumni to come and join the team on the weekday training.
What would you get out of it?
You get to all or some of the face to face bits of the training again at no cost. When I first assisted this was such a brilliant part of my development as a touch therapist.
You can have support with any aspects of the courses that may not have fully landed with you the first time.
You gain experience of supporting the teaching process at BCMB. Although this is not a ticket to an ‘assistant role’ on the teaching teams, it will of course be useful experience.
You get to be a practice body, and receive massage in the learning environment.
Be a fuller part of the BCMB ‘home team’ part of this specific team of volunteers and students.
Travel, parking and lunch paid for.
What would you be doing?
* Being a practice body for demo’s
* Being a swap body for the students during the teaching sessions
* Helping with student support during the teaching sessions
* Generally joining in with all aspects of the teaching when you are there.
* Helping out with domestics if needed, this will be very minimal.
What is the time commitment?
The teaching sessions are 10am - 2pm Mondays and Tuesdays every 2 weeks, from 4th of March 2025.
Minimum is ideally at least one regular 4 hours session a week or at least 2 sessions a week of no less that 2 hours.
Maximum - you are welcome to join for all the sessions on all the days.
There is no need to join for the APP sessions or Student Clinic's
We are recruiting a team, so we can work out who does what, once we have all the applications in, so we can be flexible, but we need a minimum commitment to create continuity for the students.
Deadline: Midday Sunday February 16th 2025. To express an interest in this role please email sarahmclellan20@gmail.com and please put 'Volunteer Practice Body’ in the subject line. Please state why you're interested and include the following information in your email.
