Neuro-Sensory Voice Work invites you to reconnect with the parts of yourself that have gone quiet, hidden, or forgotten. Through the resonance of your own voice, you begin to awaken sensation, presence, and the subtle threads of connection that bring you home to yourself. About Cordelia: Rooted in a background of opera and the performing arts, Cordelia’s own search for freedom in voice and breath led her to develop what is now known as Neuro-Sensory Voice Work. Drawing from trauma-informed practice and the ancient wisdom found in art opera singing, her work bridges art and science, sound and soma. She guides others to find safety, authenticity, and the quiet power that emerges when the voice and nervous system come into harmony.

In this core workshop you will learn a simple protocol that takes between 20 and 40 minutes and addresses physical, mental and emotional levels of being. It is four days long and will be held in the lovely space at Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork. Zero Balancing can be transformational. It is life changing to realise how much you can let go. Zero Balancing is a path-breaking therapy that will add an essential and new dimension to your bodywork or be a new skill if you are not already a practitioner. It offers an effective way of helping people let go of unnecessary tension, allowing unhelpful inherent patterns of posture, thoughts and emotional responses to be released. It can help reduce pain and open into an easier, more free way of moving.
Zero Balancing provides a safe quiet experience of being held, using refined touch that meets people where and how they are in that moment. The receiver is able to feel areas of held charge and trauma without experiencing overwhelm or processing it. In Zero Balancing we work with the person through their clothing.
You will:
• Deepen your knowledge of how to touch clearly.
• Understand how energy flows through our bones, the core part of ourselves that determines our form and shape. Learn key skeletal anatomy including different kinds of joint function.
• Navigate working with both the physical and energetic body and understand energy as a vibrational connective field that holds our history and patterns of behaviour now.
• Learn vocabulary to articulate different kinds of touch.
• Learn observation skills to add effectiveness and confidence to your work. • Work with expanded states of consciousness.
• Connect with the fascinating, deepest part of the person understood by Eastern thinking as “ancestral chi”; what we know and feel in our “very bones”.
Developed by Dr. Fritz Smith, osteopathic MD, Zero Balancing addresses the energy of bones, our deepest structure that underlies posture and every movement we make. This gentle bodywork is informed by the ideas and techniques of Rolfing, cranio-sacral work, acupuncture, Eastern and Western understandings of energy and anatomy. It is its own distinct art of bodywork.

Leora Sharp has been a massage practitioner since 2008 and very early on in her career, realised the importance of needing to work as Hands Free as possible. To that end, in 2009 she trained with Darien and was so blown away with Hands Free Massage, that she offered to assist him on his 8 Day Advanced Training. Her role slowly transformed into co-teacher and she then started teaching solo in 2016. She is continually bold over how amazing HFM is and the benefits it brings to practitioners to sustain their careers and how marvellous it feels for clients to receive. She founded and facilitated the Bath Practitioner Group for 12 years. Alongside teaching HFM, Leora has a private practice at Neal’s Yard in Bath and designs websites for complementary health professionals.
Hands Free Massage Introduction with Leora Sharp
Hands Free Massage not only protects your hands but also your entire body, helping to extend your career. In this 1 day introductory Hands Free Massage workshop, you'll learn a few key principles of HFM and develop practical skills to use your ‘soft forearm’ (the belly of the flexors) for broad, sliding pressure on the client’s back.
The movements can easily be incorporated into your massage sessions. They include firm sweeping moves (helping you to replace effleurage and muscle lengthening with your hands) and some detailed work on tension areas. You will also learn body dynamics and posture to support your work. Let us help you to start your HFM journey and help you learn how it can help you to work deeper and without pain, for you and your clients. You'll discover what HFM can offer you in terms of expanding your repertoire, with a view to replacing the use of your hands for almost any massage. You'll also gain insight into applying deeper more effective pressure, using your forearms, helping you sustain your career long-term.
What you'll learn
Skilful and Sensitive™ use of your forearms
Flowing forearm massage to replace using your hands for effleurage & lengthening tissues on the back
Some detailed work on tension areas and how to moderate the pressure applied
How to support this with good bodyuse rather than working too hard with your arms and shoulders
How to blend these techniques smoothly into your massage
Level 3 Advanced Massage course. 8 CPD points
Testimonial
Hi Leora, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Hands Free Massage workshop yesterday, with you and Darien! I was really impressed with the quality of teaching (I really appreciated all the fine tuning) and in all honesty, after one day, I’ve fallen in love with Hands Free Massage.
The techniques used and the wonderful care taken with regards to self care for the practitioner and focus on sensitivity giving the massage at the workshop yesterday blew me away. It’s the way I want to give massage and the type of practitioner I’d like to be. It’s made me feel incredibly excited about my future!
Thanks again for the amazing training, what a great day!"
