Zero Balancing - Touching the Energy of Bone with Tim Newman
Zero Balancing is an engaging and fascinating form of energy bodywork. It has a very broad approach to healing and therapeutic practice and yet it is based on quite specific physiological and mechanical principles - to do with the nature of bone tissue and how the skeleton conducts forces of gravity, motion and leverage. Bone also has powerful resonances in our psyche , at times literally as a body metaphor for embodied attitudes and stances.
There are a number of key concepts that go with apprenticeship in the art and skill of balancing body energy with body structure:Eg; Interface touch, (and how to invite, hold and release it); Witness State; Blank Sheet; Fulcrums and Vectors; Optimum Functional Balance etc. In this day workshop we will introduce these theoretically and experientially so participants can idea of what it is to feel energy directly in the body - including specifically in bone - and to relate those experiences with the many ways we already sense or feel energy in everyday life, without necessarily realizing the energetic aspect of it.
